Halloween parties are easy to make fun for everyone. The holiday is an ample opportunity to get all of your friends together and celebrate in a different way than you are used to. Halloween parties are often held amidst decorations to a haunted house theme. Children’s eyes light up when Halloween menu items include the likes of tomato soup changed to vampire soup, spaghetti served up as cemetery worms, and witches fingers made of breadsticks tipped with sliced almonds. Halloween parties are my all

time favorite to throw! Both children and adults get a little scare, eat some great food and enjoy a night with friends!

Halloween parties are also organized in schools, which also arrange for several Halloween activities for toddlers. Children

are told to dress according to different characters and they all have fun in school. Halloween parties are a blast but they

require some planning to be successful. Halloween parties are still a good reason to get together with friends, and bobbing

for apples has remained a much requested game. You need to make sure your friends find their way to your house, though, and

Halloween luminaries are a frighteningly special way to do that.

Pumpkin carving is a tradition at Halloween parties for all ages. It's a fun time of the year! We also decorate our gardens

(front) with pumpkin displays and Autumn foliage.  Caramel apples are common so why not try other dips and have a candied

apple buffet.

Decorations are a very crucial aspect for any Halloween costume party, since they set the creepy and spooky mood of your

gathering. Even so, spending too much money on skulls and candelabras is not very practical. Decorate cupcakes in a spiderweb

pattern if desired. Decorate your party room with magic wands, Daily Prophet newspapers, sparkly dust for casting charms and

spells, and anything else that reminds you of wizards, witches and magic. The drinks you serve can be called the Elixir of

Life, ordinary cherry lollipops can be transformed into Acid Pops or Blood-flavored Lollipops, and dessert sherbet balls can

be labeled Fizzing Whizbees.

Children anticipate the loot bags that you give out after the party, which is why you should provide them with goodies that

can help them remember the wonderful time they had at the party. If you had a Barbie party, put Barbie products and sweets in

the party bags. Children's parties usually consist of fun party games, whereas adult ones are more about dancing, chatting,

socializing and drinking. Make sure you have your party planned out well in advanced. Children 3 years and younger should not

be given any string-like material that is longer than 12 inches. Close adult supervision is essential whenever children use

string-like material.

Halloween parties are just like any other parties, only that the kids are in scary costumes and the food is served in an

equally scary way. In short, a Halloween party is a themed party - and everyone is required to be in the freakiest best.

Halloween is a fun holiday that begs for having a creepy costume party. But getting such an event together requires some planning and organizing.

First Things First

Step one in organizing your Halloween party is deciding what kind of party you are going to have. Are you going to have a themed party or just a fun bash? Is it going to be a potluck or are you going to try to do it all yourself? Hint: Trying to do it all yourself not such a great idea. It makes your life a whole lot easier and allows you to have more fun if it is a potluck. Believe it or not, it can also make it more fun for your guests. Some fun potluck ideas: Have everyone bring the most disgusting looking or sounding dish that they can find. However, make sure that they know it must be edible! If youre doing a themed party, have everyone bring something in keeping with the theme. For example, for a pirate party, have everyone bring a dish that has a skull and crossbones in it or on it.

So first decide what kind of Halloween party you are going to organize and how you are going to handle the food.

Make a List

Step two in organizing your Halloween party is making a list of everything that needs to get done. Just sit down and brainstorm everything that you can think of. Then go back over your list and figure out the order of what needs to get done. For example, sending out invitations should be one of the first things on your list. Organizing and buying decorations should also be near the top. Getting food ready will be at or near the end of the list. Then go back through that list one more time and organize it one step further by figuring out roughly how long each task will take you. Hint: It is better to overestimate the time it will take you than to underestimate.

Get Ready Before The Day

Okay, so this is more of a tip than a step in getting your Halloween party organized. But it is important so bear with me. In order to minimize your stress and to make the party more fun for you, get as much as possible organized before the actual day of the party. This includes making as much of the food as you can before the day of the party. If you can make it and freeze it, by all means, do it. This also means cleaning whatever areas of your house you feel need to be cleaned beforehand. A few more things you can do before the day of the party: wash dishes, decorate, setup tables and put out anything non-perishable the night before.

And the most important tip of all: Have FUN!

Children favorite holidays are Saint Nicholas (in Belgium) or Christmas, because of the gifts; Carnival (in Europe) because of the costumes, parties and parades; and Halloween.

Why do they love Halloween? Adults assume that children love Halloween because children generally love candy.

But children do not only love the abundance of candy at Halloween. They love partying, wearing costumes, watching torchlight parades...

Adults also love Halloween. Especially Halloween parties.

While reading lots of articles dedicated to Halloween, I noticed that people talk about Halloween parties for children or Halloween parties for adults. But they seldom talk about Halloween parties for everyone.

So this year, why not going for a Halloween party for everyone, adults and children?

Obviously, Halloween family parties are often organized: when the trick or treating is over, children come home with their candies and after verifying the quality of the sweets they received, everybody goes in the living room. While drinking pumpkin juice, parents tell

children some Halloween stories.

But there is a way to make your Halloween evening funnier for everyone. What about a pot-luck party? What about inviting your friends and neighbours; married couples or single parents and their children?

Unfortunately, there is a major inconvenient: when she guests a party, the housewife must stay in the kitchen to ensure that everyone has something to eat and to drink and to prepare the meal.

This year, the housewife will participate and enjoy the Halloween party. The principle of this event is the following one: each guest brings different dishes: meal, dessert, pie or drink - alcoholic or not.

Prepare your Halloween party for everyone by creating invitation cards with funny Halloween decorations. Set up a costume theme. Decorate your house. Ask children to help you: they also participate to the event.

The easiest way to guest a Halloween party is by organizing a supper-table. Convert your dinner room table into a supper-table. Place the Jack-O-Lantern on its center and each of the dishes brought by your guests all around it. Each participant will serve himself.

A supper-table is also an excellent way for your guests to be able to talk to everyone and meet new people.

A smaller table in another corner of the room will become the bar area. Fun tip: carve two large pumpkins and decorate them with Halloween theme and fill one of them with sangria or alcoholic punch for adults and the other one with fruit juice for the children. Decorate the drinks with Witch Eyes.

Canned peeled and drained litchis

Incorporate a black grape or a maraschino cherry into each litchi

Plan to have enough chairs for your guests and reserve some space at the center of the room to dance. Put the musical mood by creating some play lists dedicated to Halloween.

Halloween Lanterns:

Ingredients:

Montain oranges,

Chocolate mousse

Preparation:

Cut the top of each orange

Remove the pulp or the oranges

Draw eyes, a nose and a mouth as if they were pumpkins

Fill the oranges with chocolate mousse

Cap them with the top you cutted

Keep them in a cool place.

French Pumpkin Doughnut

Ingredients:

Cut 500 g of Hokkaido pumpkin into small cubes

2 tablespoon Sugar

2 tablespoon Soft butter

2 lightly beaten eggs

125 fl oz flour

Oil

Preparation:

Put the Hokkaido pumpkin in a pot

Cover with water and let it boil until the pumpkin is cooked and tender

Drain the pumpkin and combine with sugar, butter and eggs

Gradually add flour while beating

File a tablespoon of the mixture into hot oil for about 4-5 minutes

Serve warm.

Have a fun pot-luck Halloween party for everyone!

Here's a truly wicked Halloween party theme invite your friends to a fancy dress witch and warlock party.

Set the scene by turning your party area into a magical cave. Drape the furniture in black sheets (this will also help to protect your furniture) and set up an altar with a Book of Shadows and some magical decorations. You can get these items from a new age shop, or make your own, covering old books and using a light fitting globe for a magic crystal ball.

To make a book of shadows, cover a large book with black paper. Open the book and lay it flat. (Don't do this with a book you want to keep!) Glue all the pages together except the two where you opened the book. Glue two sheets of paper with spells printed on them (you can print spells off the Internet) to the open pages.

You can also paint the pages with white acrylic paint and stick on pictures of unicorns and other mythical creatures when they are dry.

Prop the book on the altar - you can use a book rest or rest it against a candle in a bottle. Add black candles in black candleholders, a pack of tarot cards and some crystals.

To make the crystal ball, place the light fitting globe side up in a round black box - the box needs to be too small for the whole globe, so that it sits up on a stand. Drape it with a silk scarf and do impromtu `readings'. If you can fix up a light in the box to switch on and make the crystal ball glow, it will look terrific.

If you have dragon or magic themed statues and ornaments, put them on display, or cut out paper dragons and mythical creatures and pin them up.

Haunt your cave by draping old white sheets or pieces of cheesecloth over helium balloons. Paint on scary faces and let them float up to the ceiling. You can also put a masks and wigs on your helium balloons and let them loose.

Decorate the corners of the room, archways and doors with fake cobwebs. You can buy fake cobwebs that spray on or stick on at a Halloween party supply store.

Use a large black laundry tub with a handle for a cauldron, and fill it with lime drink or party punch and strange plastic toy animals rats, toads, lizards. These make great party favors for the guests.

You can set your cauldron on a pile of crumpled up red and yellow cellophane paper to like a blazing fire.

Fill goblets or champagne glasses (you can use plastic champagne glasses and paint them with silver water based craft paint) with strings of brightly colored glass beads, old paste jewelry and gold chains spilling over the side. Scatter small crystals and shiny paste jewels mixed with Gummi eyeballs around the bases of the goblets. These look great set out on the food table.

You can make simple magic wands out of foot long pieces of dowel rod, or even long chopsticks. Paint the wands black and the tips gold. But if you really want to impress, go into the country and cut straight pieces of fallen branches to make wands. Bunch them in decorated large cocoa tins for your guests to play dueling games a la Harry Potter.

As the head witch or warlock, you can create a great costume that doesn't cost too much. Make your magical hat out of a large sheet of construction paper curved into a cone shape. Cut the bottom of the cone to fit your head, tape the ends firmly in place and paint black. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle the hat with glitter dust and let it dry. You can also cover your hat with silver and gold cut out stars and crescent moons.

Make a simple robe out of length of dark coloured sheeting or satin, 60 inches by 120 inches. Fold the fabric in half lengthways, and cut an opening unto the fold in the upper piece of cloth. Cut a shallow neckline to fit your neck. You can hem the edges to make it look neat. Sew the sides of the robe up to 16-20 inches from your armpits (adjust for your size). Clasp the front neck edges of the robe with a paste brooch in a magical design, such as a pentacle.
