A straight strip of cloth, to which shoulder straps are attached, is used for the foundation of the waist. It is entirely covered with light green crepe paper. Four thicknesses of fringe are used for the skirt. Light brown crepe is crushed and pasted in place around the bottom of the skirt and up the front, forming the trunk and branches. A strip of muslin about 2 inches wide is covered with green crushed crepe paper. Blossoms cut from No. 952 Decorated Crepe are pasted at intervals on fine green crepe paper rope and are sewed to the muslin foundation so that the strings hang down the same length on the front and back of the arms. The flower trimmed strips are sewed to the shoulders and are tied to the arms with narrow ribbons. A tight fitting cap is entirely covered with the pink blossoms.

For pageants and plays where trees are to be represented small green leaves
may be substituted for the pink blossoms.
